Trioday Tablet has active ingredients; Lamivudine, Tenofovir & Efavirenz, an antiviral medication which prevents the duplication of the virus in human cells. This stops the virus from creating new viruses & clears up your infection. These also increase the CD4 cell (white blood cells which protect against infection) count in your blood. Lamivudine is an analogue of cytidine which can inhibit both types (1 and 2) of HIV reverse transcriptase & also the reverse transcriptase of hepatitis B virus . It is phosphorylated to active metabolites which compete for incorporation into viral DNA. They inhibit the HIV reverse transcriptase enzyme competitively & act as a chain terminator of DNA synthesis. Tenofovir disoproxil is a nucleotide analogue reverse-transcriptase inhibitor which selectively inhibits viral reverse transcriptase , a critical enzyme in retroviruses such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) , while showing restricted inhibition of human enzymes, such as DNA polymerases α, β, & mitochondrial DNA polymerase γ. Efavirenz inhibits the action of viral RNA-directed DNA polymerase (i.e., reverse transcriptase).
