Playgard 100 Mg Tablet contains sildenafil citrate equivalent to 100 mg of sildenafil. It is an oral phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor used to treat erectile dysfunction in adult men. Although sildenafil is also available in separately indicated products for pulmonary arterial hypertension, this Playgard 100 mg tablet is identified as an erectile-dysfunction product and should not be treated as interchangeable with PAH formulations.
How it works
During sexual stimulation, nitric oxide released in erectile tissue increases cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), which relaxes smooth muscle and allows more blood to enter the penis. Sildenafil inhibits phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), the enzyme that normally breaks down cGMP. This strengthens the natural blood-flow response and can make it easier to obtain and maintain an erection. Sexual stimulation is still required for sildenafil to work.
How it is taken
Take Playgard orally exactly as prescribed. Sildenafil for erectile dysfunction is generally taken as needed before sexual activity; authoritative labeling states that it may be taken approximately 30 minutes to 4 hours beforehand and should not be taken more than once per day. Important warnings

Sildenafil can also add to the blood-pressure-lowering effects of alpha-blockers and antihypertensive medicines. Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors and medicines such as ritonavir can substantially increase sildenafil exposure. Tell the prescriber about cardiovascular disease, low or uncontrolled high blood pressure, recent heart attack or stroke, kidney or liver impairment, bleeding disorders, stomach ulcers, penile deformity, conditions that predispose to priapism, retinitis pigmentosa, or previous severe vision loss. Stop sexual activity and seek medical help for chest pain, marked dizziness, or nausea during sex. Obtain urgent medical attention for an erection lasting more than 4 hours, sudden loss or marked decrease of vision, or sudden hearing loss.
Side effects and monitoring
Common effects include headache, flushing, indigestion (dyspepsia), nasal congestion, abnormal or altered vision, dizziness, nausea, back pain, muscle pain, and rash. Serious or less common problems include symptomatic low blood pressure, prolonged or painful erection (priapism), sudden decrease or loss of vision, sudden decrease or loss of hearing, severe allergic reactions, and cardiovascular events. Seek urgent medical attention for an erection lasting longer than 4 hours, sudden vision or hearing loss, fainting, severe allergic symptoms, or chest pain. Routine laboratory monitoring is not generally specified for sildenafil used for erectile dysfunction, but clinical review is appropriate when cardiovascular risk, interacting medicines, kidney or liver impairment, or troublesome adverse effects are present.
Pregnancy
Playgard 100 Mg Tablet for erectile dysfunction is not indicated for use in females. Human pregnancy data for sildenafil are insufficient to establish drug-associated developmental risk; therefore, this ED product should not be used during pregnancy for this indication.
Breastfeeding
