Important warnings

Seek urgent medical care for an erection lasting longer than 4 hours, sudden loss or marked reduction of vision or hearing, or chest pain, severe dizziness or fainting associated with sexual activity.
Side effects and monitoring
Common effects include headache, flushing, indigestion, nasal congestion, dizziness, nausea, back or muscle pain, rash and temporary visual changes such as blurred vision or altered colour perception. Serious but less common risks include prolonged erection or priapism, severe hypotension, sudden vision loss associated with NAION, sudden decrease or loss of hearing, and serious cardiovascular events in susceptible patients. An erection lasting more than 4 hours requires emergency treatment. Sudden vision or hearing loss also requires prompt medical attention. Routine laboratory monitoring is not generally required solely because sildenafil is being used for erectile dysfunction, but cardiovascular health and interacting medicines should be assessed when clinically appropriate.
Pregnancy
Penegra 50 mg for erectile dysfunction is not indicated for use in women. Sildenafil erectile-dysfunction labeling does not provide adequate human pregnancy data to establish drug-associated developmental risk.
Breastfeeding
Penegra 50 mg for erectile dysfunction is not indicated for use in women. Sildenafil and its active metabolite have been reported in human milk, but available data are insufficient to determine effects on a breastfed infant or milk production.
Food, drink and interactions
Sildenafil 50 mg did not increase the blood-pressure-lowering effect of a moderate alcohol dose in a controlled interaction study in healthy volunteers.
