P-Carzine 50 mg Capsule has an active ingredient; Procarbazine. Procarbazine act by inhibition of protein, RNA and DNA synthesis. Procarbazine inhibits transmethylation of methyl groups of methionine into t-RNA. The absence of functional t-RNA may cause the cessation of protein synthesis & as a result DNA and RNA synthesis. Additionally, Procarbazine might directly damage DNA. Hydrogen peroxide, formed during the auto-oxidation of the drug, might attack protein sulfhydryl groups contained in residual protein which is tightly bound to DNA.
