What it is used for

How it works
Ketoconazole inhibits fungal ergosterol synthesis, disrupting the fungal cell membrane.
How it is taken
Apply a thin layer to clean, dry affected skin exactly as directed and complete the recommended duration. For skin use only; avoid eyes, mouth and broken skin unless directed.
Important warnings
Not for ophthalmic use. Stop and seek advice for severe irritation, swelling, blistering or allergic reaction; persistent symptoms may require a different diagnosis.

Possible local effects include burning, itching, redness, dryness or irritation. Allergic contact dermatitis is uncommon.
Pregnancy
Topical absorption is low, but use during pregnancy only after clinician advice.

Seek advice before use while breastfeeding and do not apply on or near the nipple where an infant could ingest it.
