Medicine overview

Kamagra Tab 100 Mg contains sildenafil, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor used for erectile dysfunction in adult men. Sildenafil helps improve the erectile response when sexual stimulation occurs by increasing blood flow into the penis. The 100 mg strength is an oral tablet strength. Sildenafil does not produce an erection without sexual stimulation and should not be combined with other sildenafil products or other PDE5 inhibitors unless specifically directed by a healthcare professional.

What it is used for

Sildenafil tablets are used to treat erectile dysfunction, a condition in which a man has difficulty getting or maintaining an erection adequate for sexual activity. The medicine supports the normal erectile response to sexual stimulation; it does not increase sexual desire and does not protect against sexually transmitted infections. Kamagra 100 mg should not be assumed to have other sildenafil indications simply because the active ingredient is used in different formulations or strengths for other conditions.

How it works

During sexual stimulation, nitric oxide is released in erectile tissue and increases cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), which relaxes smooth muscle and allows more blood to enter the penis. Sildenafil inhibits PDE5, the enzyme that normally breaks down cGMP. This allows the cGMP signal to last longer and supports an erection when sexual stimulation is present. Sildenafil does not directly cause an erection in the absence of sexual stimulation.

How it is taken

Sildenafil is taken by mouth. General prescribing information states that sildenafil for erectile dysfunction may be taken approximately 1 hour before sexual activity and can be taken 30 minutes to 4 hours beforehand. It may be taken with or without food, although a high-fat meal can delay absorption. The maximum recommended frequency is once per day. The appropriate strength must be determined by the prescriber; 100 mg is the maximum recommended sildenafil dose for erectile dysfunction and is not the usual starting dose for most patients.

Important warnings

Do not use sildenafil with nitrates or nitric oxide donors, including medicines used for angina, because the combination can cause a dangerous fall in blood pressure. It is also contraindicated with guanylate cyclase stimulators such as riociguat and in people with known hypersensitivity to sildenafil or tablet ingredients. Extra caution is required with alpha-blockers, antihypertensive medicines and strong CYP3A4 inhibitors such as ritonavir, ketoconazole and itraconazole. Sildenafil may be unsuitable when sexual activity is medically inadvisable because of cardiovascular disease. Seek immediate medical care for an erection lasting more than 4 hours. Stop sildenafil and obtain prompt medical attention for sudden vision loss or sudden decrease or loss of hearing. Sildenafil should not be combined with other PDE5 inhibitors or other erectile-dysfunction therapies without medical supervision.

Side effects and monitoring

Common sildenafil side effects include headache, flushing, indigestion, nasal congestion, abnormal or blurred/color-tinged vision, back pain, muscle pain, nausea, dizziness and rash. Some adverse effects occur more often at higher doses. Serious or less common problems include severe hypotension, prolonged erection or priapism, sudden vision loss associated with NAION, sudden hearing decrease or loss, and serious cardiovascular events reported after marketing. Seek urgent medical attention for an erection lasting more than 4 hours, sudden loss of vision, sudden hearing loss, chest pain, fainting, or symptoms of a severe allergic reaction.

Pregnancy

Sildenafil tablets for erectile dysfunction are not indicated for use in females. Available prescribing information does not provide human pregnancy data sufficient to establish drug-associated developmental risk for this ED indication.

Breastfeeding

Sildenafil tablets for erectile dysfunction are not indicated for use in females. Limited data indicate that sildenafil and its active metabolite can be present in human milk, but information about effects on a breastfed child or milk production is insufficient.

Food, drink and interactions

Alcohol can independently contribute to dizziness and lower blood pressure. A controlled study using sildenafil 50 mg did not show potentiation of alcohol's blood-pressure-lowering effect in healthy volunteers, but the maximum 100 mg sildenafil dose was not evaluated in that study. Avoid excessive alcohol, particularly if it causes dizziness or may interfere with sexual performance.

Food and drink

Sildenafil may be taken with or without food. A high-fat meal can slow absorption, delaying the time to peak sildenafil concentration by about 60 minutes compared with fasting administration.

Storage

Store sildenafil tablets at controlled room temperature, 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F), and keep medicines out of the reach of children.

Frequently asked questions

How long before sex does sildenafil usually need to be taken?

Sildenafil is generally taken about 1 hour before sexual activity, although prescribing information allows administration from 30 minutes to 4 hours beforehand. Sexual stimulation is still required for an erection.

Does eating before taking Kamagra 100 mg make it work more slowly?

It can. Sildenafil may be taken with or without food, but a high-fat meal can delay its absorption and may make the effect start later.

Why might sildenafil 100 mg cause more side effects than lower strengths?

Clinical trials found that several adverse effects increased with dose. The 100 mg strength is the maximum recommended sildenafil dose for erectile dysfunction, so it should only be used when that strength is appropriate for the patient.

Can I take Kamagra with another erectile-dysfunction medicine?

Do not combine sildenafil with another PDE5 inhibitor or erectile-dysfunction treatment unless a healthcare professional has specifically directed it. The safety and effectiveness of such combinations have not been established.

What should I do if an erection lasts longer than 4 hours?

Seek immediate medical attention. A prolonged erection can develop into priapism and may damage penile tissue if it is not treated promptly.

Can I take sildenafil if I use nitroglycerin for chest pain?

No. Sildenafil is contraindicated with nitrates such as nitroglycerin because the combination can cause a potentially dangerous fall in blood pressure.

Can Cheap Generic Med ship Kamagra to the United States?

Cheap Generic Med serves the United States under its international shipping model. Delivery is typically estimated at 10–14 business days after dispatch, but customs or carrier delays can extend transit. Prescription and personal-import requirements may apply and shipping availability does not guarantee that import is lawful in an individual case.

Will my Cheap Generic Med order have tracking?

Under the standard fulfilment model, tracked international shipping is used and a tracking number should be provided after dispatch. New tracking numbers can take 24–72 hours to begin showing movement in the carrier system.
