## How Much Of The Hydrea 500 Mg (Hydroxyurea) to Be Used:

You must be instructed to take your medicine on either a daily basis or an irregular basis. The recommended dose is 20-30mg of Hydrea per kg of your bodyweight once a day or 80 mg per kg of your body weight once every third day. Do not exceed the dose on your own as it may result in adverse effects.

Hydrea 500 mg dose should be taken at a fixed time and is to be taken 1-2 hr before and after the food. Swallow the tablet as a whole with water without chewing or crushing it.

You are always advised to take Hydrea 500 mg as prescribed by your doctor. You are not advised to take it for a longer time than recommended.

## Overdose:

## Missed Dose:

Unexplained shortness of breath cough with fever, skin ulceration, especially with infection

Blood disorders (reduction in WBCs, RBCs, and platelets)

Lower back pain or pain in your side

Black tarry stools or blood in the stools

Unusual bleeding or bruising

Numbness or tingling of hands or feet

Absence or low amount of sperm in the semen (azoospermia/oligospermia)

Loss of appetite

Embryo-Fetal Toxicity

Muscle weakness, tiredness or tenderness

Sickness, diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal pain

Sores on the lips or mouth

Difficulty or pain passing urine

Skin and tissue problems like Rashes, Darkening, Reddening, Peeling, Purple Patches, Erythema, Scaling, Alopecia, Atrophy, Ulceration, or Skin Cancer

Kidney problems

Jaundice

Anorexia and Tumor Lysis Syndrom
