Vinorelbine is a semi-synthetic vinca-alkaloid having a wide spectrum of anti-tumor activity. The vinca-alkaloids are measured spindle poisons. It acts by interfering with the polymerization of tubulin, a protein which is responsible for building the microtubule system which appears during cell division in proliferating cancer cells.
